How do Laffer Curve differ across countries ? by M. Trabandt and H. Uhlig

Paper of the Week 13
“The paper of the Week 13, How do Laffer Curve differ across countries ? by M. Trabandt and H. Uhlig, extends the results of a previous paper from 2011 in several ways. The authors starting from the darling of all public discussions on taxation, the Laffer curve, look at it from a cross-country (US and EU-14) perspective, includes also the data for 2008-2010, extend the model to include human capital, examine the scope for long term sustainability of current debt levels and compute the envelope of potential additional tax revenues for individual countries under different taxes and several assumptions.” Lucian Isar
